Tudor MISDOLEA
Tudor MISDOLEA is graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, and he is doctor in technical sciences since 1974. He was an engineer at the Institute of Energetic Research and from 1966 was lecturer at the Institute of Oil and Gas and lecturer at the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. During this period he led an educational and research activity, publishing books and articles on the constructive foundations of computers. Since 1983 he has worked as a telecommunications engineer at ALCATEL, Paris. Tudor MISDOLEA is also a graduate of the National Conservatory of Music in Bucharest and, since 1985, he is doctor of musical aesthetics and science of art, University of Paris 1, Pantheon-Sorbonne. Since 1976 he has published many musicology researches and, at the same time, he has a composition activity, his music being performed in concert halls in Bucharest and Paris. Since 2008 he is member of the Romanian Composers Union. His current preoccupations concern the application of mathematical methods to the musical phenomenology, the philosophical and aesthetic analysis of musical works and composition.
